I have a 1971 bug and need to install rear 3 point inertia seatbelts, but can’t find any info on where to fix the belt to. I’ve found the points under the seats and need advice on how to fix the other points. Car has rear window latches where some sites state there could be a hole in type 1 beetle and even if hole there I still don’t know to fix the bolt of hole was present.
Does anybody know how to fix/install the 3 point seatbelts?

never tried at the back...
FWIW, the law only requires cars after a certain year to have rear seat belts. If your car was produced before that date (like your beetle was) then you dont need rear seat belts

Hi Tony, thanks for the reply. I thought the beetle put holes in place from 1968 onwards? I’ve got to install so I can put child seats in the back to comply with the law to date. Beginning to think it might need some welding done to fix

Here you go,

Most only fitted lap belts to the two points on the tunnel and on the inner sile.

but here is a 3 point fit
