Go to Alert Parts, and ask for a "De-coking" gasket set.

Hi Vintage man. It would help if you specify what engine and specific car you are looking for. I could direct you further then to the correct parts.

Oops when at work you quickly go on the forum. A 1,7 bay window engine.

Ok, so it’s for a type 4 motor. I don’t believe you can buy just the top half gaskets, I’ve never come accross this. You can buy a gasket set for the 1800 or even 2000 as the inlet and exhaust gaskets are the same, but try get the 1700 as you may use the gaskets that remain at a later stage for something else.

1700 engine parts have become almost impossible to obtain locally.
