Has anybody changed a LWB buggy body into a SWB. Specifically asking about the body, the pan is not an issue

Dix,....I am sure if you are not worried aboutthe pan you will be able to tackle the fibre part of the job OR get a friend to assit,.....plenty paint brushes and latex gloves and powder for the itch!!

Jokes aside,.....make sure that you strengthen the cut area well,.....thats about it. Don't know much,....but we've done a few tricky little things.

you might want to consider doing a slightly longer version of a swb, (Beamish in Cape Town do a longer version) makes a huge difference when caring passengers etc.

Dix, you need to work out which part of the pan was cut out, then cut out the same section only do a zigzag line and not straight to give you strength when joining.
Count the the body to pan bolts from the front on both body and pan and make the middle mark
Then count the body to pan bolts from the back and do the same, in this way you will see the section of pan cut out. mark a zigzag on a section of cardboard, and transfer kit using the bottom sill as your datum point.
Mark 4 lines, and cut and join.
Good Luck

Thanks all.
Fund a decent SWB body for a reasonable price and sold the LWB
