The stock 14in bus rims are 5.5 and 185 was a stock tyre size.

I have successfully fitted 195s to 4.5 wide rims without problems, although strictly the tyres are too wide for the rim.

May have a chance at 6J rims, which should still fit then.

Bulging tyres look rubbish and are asking for trouble imo.
