Right dizzy for a 1500sp

Post by John Alves »

Hi all,
My 1500 sp (68 beetle) came with with a 049 distributor, is this the correct one?, does it have less 3 degree advance on no 3 cylinder?
if not, does it matter? (no dog house shroud)

Thanks

No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.

you need the 3deg retard ;-)
and it does matter unless you step up to a dog house shroud

Just checked my Ghia (1600 TP with dog house)
it has a 028 dizzy, this I think is for a type 3??
is this one OK on this motor?
