Morning all, Noticed that this sender unit seal is not doing it's job properly?

What type of sealant can I use to add to the seal in question ?
Don,t overfill you say ?.,......I wish I could afford it !!😂🤣
Speed humps and potholes requires some braking and acceleration,...and not much baffling inside the tank!!

Would a thin line of Sikaflex do it,......something that comes into contact with fuel,....that will keep the seal

Talk to me please

Most sealers are not fuel grade, and will soffen up.

I would go to your BMG (Bearing Mann) an get a sheet of chemical grade packing, and cut a set of new gaskets.

Thanks gents,...new gasket it will be,.......with a 'small' smidge of "red indian" perhaps or not!

Ps Herman,..this .."chemical" grade? Is like thickish paper type thing ?,....like we know from way back then?,.....or is it a rubber/ neoprene type thing?

Will go this week.

Or you could make a new seal out of thin cork. Works perfectly without any goop.

Haans, a leak now and then is fine. Its the sputtering and the occasional backfire that one needs to look out for
