Aircooled VW South Africa

Good morning all,

New to the forum as I just acquired an 1800 air cooled engine. I need help finding a starter motor though, No idea what to look for or who to ask. Do I just go to Goldwagon or ???

I assume this engine is a 1800 type 4 motor installed in a 74 or 75 model kombi on a manual gearbox?

That does not appear to be the correct starter in your pics.

If it is a true 1800, it will use the same starter motor as any 12v VW Beetle.
