Hello All, now dont go falling on your back will you

I need some help with IRS Suspension overhaul

Can the experts, you know who you are, tell me how to get this 44mm rubber bush into the 36mm hole where it belongs.

This bush has part number 113 501 541 which is the correct part number or is there a smaller bush to be used

AND PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO GO POLYURATHANE

Thanks
HR

with most bushings, you need a press to push them in
but if the bush is 44mm and the hole is 36mm, then you have the wrong parts

Mr Zee, parts are correct
After searching the Samba for "control arm bushings" which came up with absolutely nothing, we changed the name to "Trailing arm bushings" and their is a whole explanation of how to do it.

See here

Could it be that the outer metal parts of the old bush assemblies are still living inside the trailing arms?
Maybe someone even modified by welding them in place to use aftermarket or pirate/ misfit rubber bushes from another car?

Part 113 501 541 should be a rubber bush with inner and outer metal sleeve bonded to it. Two of these fits one trailing arm, so 4 needed in total.

Guess that might be from Tom Bishop's Type 181 Thing?
