Type 4 heads - beyond repair?

Not knowing a lot about this motor - please give me an opinion on the damage to these heads. Do you think they can be used, polished and valve sizes increased?
This looks as if some object got caught between piston and head - damaged the area around the sparkplug.
This exhaust valve is terribly burnt - and some of the valves are recessed very deep - does that mean the seats are shot?
Lastly, in the vaal triangle, who would you recommend that I take these heads to if I want larger valves installed?
Thanks for your time
Mario (very worried)

Ensco Engineering in Vanderbijlpark. Have done my Alfa's head there without any problems.

But there are lots of other problems
1 those heads have been fly cut look at the cut marks on the flat part of the fins this means that your compression ratio may be to high
2 there is already a few oversize seats eg the intake. probably means they had a hard life and all seats are suspect
3 those black marks (carbon) on the fins next to the sparkplugs shows distortion (combustion leaks) next to the spark plugs.
all of these can be rectified but if the previous flycutting was too deep it will just do the same again.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the advice - these heads do look in a very bad state to me. So far I've managed to source one replacement 1800 head (for R950) if I can get a hold of one more I'll keep these spare.

If there were no other heads left in the world, you could have those spot faced, new seats etc, installed, and shim up heads or /and pots to decrease the c/r --thats if its too high now. Check the cc;s on the heads - I am sure Impi has the volume details-- and make a decision then

In any case , nothing wrong with a bit of a higher C/R up on the highveld just watch the spark advance and listen for pinging! Dont drag a Jurgens up a long hill in 4th with a flat foot as well most T4's were screwed by abuse, intentional or not. They should have come out with cyl head temp and EGT guages AND knock sensors. LOL!
Seriously, van engines had to be the most abused on this planet.
