I'm pretty sure that a nice Type 3 Variant will be the ideal replacement
If it's too low, you're too old

It is a fibreglass whip aerial I got from a Quad Shop for around R 200. Easily removable. Comes in handy for finding your car in a crowded parking area. Came in extremely handy recently in the covered parking area of O.R. Tambo International Airport...

Pine, our buggy at the coast had the same problem.
We (Volkspares ) put in Type 3 torsion bars and coil overs. Now we can load it up with people, cool boxes and everything needed for the beach!
