Considering I'm now having shifting issues with both buses, I figured we should start off a thread with how to diagnose what's causing which problem, and perhaps we can Sticky a few similiar How To threads :?:

So, spill your knowledge people. :)

* Shift coupler
* Bushing
* Gearbox internals
* Gearbox oil

Cheers, N.

Well here's my 5 cents. the easiest way that I know I have a rear wheel bearing go and lose all the oil in the gearbox is when I find it difficult to engage first gear. This has happened 3 times to me already and each time - the same symtoms

After 3de gear striped and battle to get in any other gear means all the shit has gone between syncros and selector hubs :D so take out strip repair replace

Well one of the most common ones are Reverse gears stripped or eaten away and no reverse engaging

Cause is idling RPM is to high especially on conversions I normally engage 1st let the clutch take alittle and slip it in

Axle boots leaking is also a big 4th gear bearing breaker due to running on low oil
