"NODY"

Went and fetch the 1969 sc low light this weekend, long slow drive but “NODDY” is safe at home, stated this morning on it to clean all drain holes, to prevent moist buildup, thinking of keeping it as it is and just do the mechanical up, and then later restore the body. Will need a few parts but I will have to go and sit down and make a list of what to get first.

bit heavy on the juice, did just over 10 kilos per liter, some places i traveled up to 130 km/h on the highway, but on the back roads it was a diferent story, slo driving for all the potholes. but the polo puls it lekekr, did fetch the other day a beach buggy and lots of extra spares with a car trailer in margate and with that up hill from there i got 9.99km/liter, i hope next time to have my a frame fixed up for towing these then it will be more pleasant.

I take the steel plates that was ribbed on to the SC off today, wow was my reaction, do not know who did it but the guy who did it does not know how to stop or prevent rust

Only bad rust is in the front sill on the corners, the left side sill, were the battery fits and opposite as well and where the fuel tank sits

Also I decided to take of the wide bin look, it is home made and extremely heavy steel they used

The luggage compartment was also covered with steel plate, took it of and it has few hole in it but not so that the whole area need to be covered, will fix the holes

Then I washed the Sc underneath to get rid of all sand and grime of the past 30 odd years, and cleaned out the sills
