Can you tighten pedal assemblies?...

's up?

On my bus, the clutch pedal is a bit loose...so there is slight side-to-side movement in the pedal.

Is it possible to tighten this up somehow, as it scraping the floor when you depress the pedal, and is slowly wearing away the metal there...

That's pretty standard with old split buses. The pivot wears from lack of lubrication. There is a grease nipple to lube the brake pedal, but not the clutch, or vice versa, or maybe I haven't located the second one yet.

I've just developed the knack of pushing at the correct angle to avoid the pedal arm screeching against the floor.

An engineering shop should be able to put a bush in there for you.

Yah, I also use 'the knack' but it would be nice to sort it out. :)

I think my bus needs a total regease in the near future...perhaps after new wheel bearings, but I'm going to bankrupt myself next week, so that has to wait...

Ooooh damn, wtF have I done now...

*worried grin*
