Would you buy it?

I've been offered a hackjob f'glass shorty...

* One or two decent fenders
* Spotted at least one headlight
* Fuel tank
* Rims?
* Gearbox [unknown condition]
* Seized engine [unknown size...how do I tell, short of a code?]
* The usual...pedal assembly, shifter, etc.
* Crap s'wheel.
* Speedo
* Pan head, late-model steering column, etc.
* Drums [condition unknown]

The engine is stuck vas. I think it's a 1600, as it has an alternator. Carb' is there.

I was in a hurry, and didn't get enough good shots in with my phone.

Offered to me for___not to much___

I don't really have the cash to waste on might-be-useful-to-me stuff right now, so...is it worth taking this heap? Is the engine useable? Saleable?

I've no idea about papers, but assume none.

Been sitting in the grass for two years...

Thanks, N.

Yup.

If it was a bus, I would have bought it on the spot, just to put it out of it's misery.

You said to me on Sunday you already bought it? I'll give you the price you (said you) paid for it, plus R 100?

I agree, BrianJ...alas, they obviously see Rui's value in it. ;)

I'm not convinced it's worth the hassle of finding a way to tow or trailer it Home, sit wih the parts, and then still have to sort out scrapping the remains.

I'll no doubt turn his offer down tonight.

When I first heard the vague description of it, I thought it would be wicked to get it going and haul arse around the 'burb in it, but it's too much work [engine] to get it to that level.

Will do. ;)

I don't see it moving very soon anyways, and if it does, I'm not desperate for it by any means.

Will try and organize pics...
