I had bookmarked this many moons ago. Cleaned my strainer - stax of GUNGE on the sump plate! Ok, l think the strainer hasn't been removed in 4 years/30 000kms as the car leaks oil (why service oil if u topping up every week).
Now what l still fail to get aftr reading the "oil opinions" is, can l use a 40 monograde oil?

I have started using 40 weight monograde oil as per Dave Rowley's suggestion and it seems fine no problems whatsoever.
