Ivan and Garin at Volkspares built the shell. I have not weighed it yet, so I do not know how much lighter it is than a std shell.

This is what I dont' get...........that shell is 15K which I feel is a fair price, replicars are charging about R25 000 for the speedster shell that is MUCH less work than that........................lol.

That bonnet is nice and smooth....
I'll drive the red bug like it is till the end of the year and then take the engine out for my split. The split will be a LONG term project. I'll race my red beetle in the historics next year.

When I first saw the mould last year at Volkspares, I had my doubts but your Beetle looks awesome!
