Aircooled VW South Africa

I have aquired a beetle from a friend
I was pondering what to do with it and looking though some old volkworld mag I came across a feature on Dr Gonzo (Oct 2005) and that quite appealed to me so I have decided to build a Hot Rod
Now it will no be an exact rep of that one (the front susp looks way to expensive)
And then maybe when I eventually get the hang of posting pics on the forum I will do so.

A hot rod bug is a good idea they are so retro

This has to be the best VW hotrod I've ever seen. From one of the Volksworld mags.

Unfortunately due to finances I will not be going the true Hot Rod way e.g choped roof, spoke wheels etc
But it will be sparce interia small mudgaurds and so on
