A Corvette TV ad about a little boy dreaming of driving his own Corvette - banned by US censors because it would 'encourage kids to drive illegally' - can you believe it??

The Corvette marketing guys must have anticipated trouble, note the 'waiver' at the beginning:
This is a dream. Do not drive without a license. Obey all traffic laws.

Yeah well, I think these days ALL companies are aware of the 'nanny state' that we live in these days. Dont you think there is just SO MANY banned ads? Sure, as if they dont know the rules ...

Banning this add is just stupid. It is cool.

What part of "dream" don't they understand? It's like they took away any and all ability from the public to think for themselves. But on the other hand, because of the American justice system,it has made thinking redundent.

"Warning-Hot coffee can cause first degree burns"-McD's
"Warning-Using this keyboard might cause arthritus"-MS
"Warning-When Cruise control is activated,DO NOT leave the steering wheel unatended"-Winnebago

Wonder when they are going to stamp the words "Warning-don't drop this on your head,it might cause your head to explode" on the side of anvils?

That thing about McD's coffee came nogal when a woman burned her lap when the coffee fell over while she was trying to drink it while she was driving. McD had a major lawsuit on their hands for that one.... Anyway...

There is a lot of those silly things that you can find on the net. But the MOST STUPID one was on a product(cant remember... was it like a desert or cake or something?) where on the BOTTOM of the box/container, they wrote the message "DO NOT TURN OVER" (or along the lines like that)

Chris, it is not just the American justice system that is like that. It is almost every "First World Country". The world realy has fallen to the Nanny State syndrome. Dont even get me started on that....

Some where on a seatcover should be stamped

"Shagging this seatcover could cause depression, poverty, substance abuse, insomnia, headaches, misery and children. To avoid discomfort do not un-wrap the protective covering.
Warning!!! Symptoms will become acute when gold, diamonds or valuable items are added to the mix!"
