Can it be done?

Chemically?

Sandblasting?

I stand corrected but try acetone to soften it......

'k, thanks.

I'm hoping the powdercoating shop can do it for me...it's a roofrack and is rather huge to do by myself.

Perhaps they should just p/coat over the existing skin...it's white, I'm thinking of making it black.

I'll take it past the 'coaters later this year and see what they recommend. Thanks, N. :)

I would also go the sandblast route

You could also throw it in a fire and peel the coating off afterwards. Most powder coaters have a chemical bath, so they can clean it for you also.

Um, perhaps I'll give the fire thing a miss. ;)

Yah, the 'coaters I use have a chemical bath...good for disposing of bodies as well.
