Nice. Haha. I was thinking about a 5.1 channel surround. Was thinking about a 7speaker system, but thought the head unit might be to expensive.

7:1 is possible with splitters.

Midrange L & R (Front)
Tweeter L& R
Midrange L&R (Rear)
Subwoofer
Centre.

I built this system with a 100Watt RMS system in my Honda, and got 136db's.My SQ was almost perfect and I came 4th overall in SA in 1997 at Killarney Sound-off Finals

What splitters are you talking about Chris? Like as in RCA's? You saying that If I get 2 into 4 RCA's i can do the 7:1ch sound? I was thinking what if i added a 3rd speaker in the front for better centre staging?

This is the stealth system that i had in mind.
USB only radio <no CD> hidden in cubbyhole
4 Infinity Gold speakers from a Jeep Cherokee - they have a freakin' awesome sound system as standard
1 removable bazooka bass tube with an 8 inch sub
1 small amp to power the above.
Antenna hidden in rear window.
Looking at the car, you would never say that there is a system installed.
That's about it.
I listen mainly to dance and mild trance like ATB, Derek The Bandit etc, so i don't need a super thumping system.
We did a similar install in a mate's golf vr6 using Bose speakers from a merc and it played brilliantly!

Jeep sound is schweet. But lose the bazoka bass tube. Its kak bass. For dance music go with a 10" since you have the mid range sorted. Your bass just has to push the deeper tones, my cuz is only into Trance psy trance n that. And hooked up 4 mids with a 10" RF Sub. Its awesome. Specially the Tiesto live concert.

A splitter or crossover takes the channel outputs from your head unit, and splits it into you diffrent frequincies.Hi range, low range, mid range subwoofer and centre stage.

You get electronic ones or passive ones.I personally prefer a passive crossover.

Oh, a Xover. Haha ok i know that. Yeah passive is better, setting it up right may be a mission, a graphic equaliser is a good option, i was thinking one of those to fill in the std radio hole in my dash.
