Re: Love Blitz or HATE Blitz?
For reasons of practicality, yes, by all means use a gas braai. But for a proper SA style Braai, a wood/charcoal braai is the hot ticket
If it's too low, you're too old

Every type of braai has has it's place, charcoal, wood or gas.
The results are the same,it gets the meat done.

Re: Love Blitz or HATE Blitz?
Blitzvinnig Le Grange for me!
Wood beats Gas handsdown
At home I have a build in braai for wood, a gas braai, & a "ploeg skaar" braai.
With the build in braai, you loose the nice smell of say, sekelbos, but in my set-up it is more convenient. The gas gets used if you need something done fast, but thats not why we braai. We braai for any reason, sometimes 3, 4 times a weekend
I just realised that me & my brothers are exporters
We sent a "ploeg-skaar" braai over to Holland a few years ago, to use when we visit the family there. I've even used it at Assen when we go and watch motorcycle racing & camp overnight!
