Re: 14 year old build
Nice Aluminium table... I've got two, but if I use them for putting VW spares on, Gill will donner me... Howcome there are two adjusters, I thought you only need 1?!

Both top and bottom needs to have an adjuster to make the drop look decent.

Re: 14 year old build
Is that a fact? Most I've seen there's just one. Depends on whether you want the nose in the dirt I suppose. How about HR? you got one or two?

The ones that I've seen BAB do is done on both beams. It makes the nose fully adjustable from scraping the tar to above normal.

Re: 14 year old build
It does make more sense, because with just one, you do end up "stiffening" the spring plates in the standard beam as you drop the front, and affecting your ride quality. My comment is not a critism, merely an observation. Maybe I just didn't look properly at the ones I've seen to notice two adjusters... I do wear glasses, y'know...

Hehe,I'm a novice when it comes to lowering the suspension as well. Not realy my cup of tea,but on some cars it looks good.I just find that a lowered suspension is too hard.Maybe I'm just getting old,and my kidneys don't want to get a thumping anymore

Re: 14 year old build
By using a adjuster on each beam and fitting 2 adjusters you end up with the same type of ride you started of with
I normally tun the adjuster down and fit the adjusting screw in the middel of adjusting so You can still go back up and down where some guys fit them and you can only go lower which in some cases it is not good

Re: 14 year old build
was told not to fit only one as it may put to much stress on the other beam , then have been looking at what position they need to be welded in can anyone be able to tell me if this is what they should look like when they are welded in
vw trend gave me a qoute to weld in the adjusters if i bring my own adjusters R1500
aunts boyfriend owns a bussiness that does metal work so have spoke to him on the phone he asked me what i wanted it welded in with he has mig,tig,Co2 so what would be better he is comming around today

Re: 14 year old build
Hey Ron & Gill
I have an adjuster on each beam just like 1972, Ron if you can get out of you whellchair and look under the buggies nose you will see both. (lol). The ride does get harder but I bekieve you can put in modified mini shocks to get the comfort back again. All that needs to be done is that the lower rubber shock mounting must be changed to fit betle bolt.

Re: 14 year old build
there are a few things i looked at in terms of handling one of them was this according to a company in the states these front shock relocators move the shock back an inch while keeping the shock upright and providing better leverage and better handling dunno how its supposed to help oviosly on the shock absorber side of things any one ever seen something like this
