Hey guys, I am no Thing (!) expert but I know it came in 2 flavors: Type 181 and Type 182: the 181 being the LHD model here in the US and other countries that use it and 182 being the RHD you people should be familiar with. For more info just go onto a Thing forum and ask a simple question and the residents will flood you with a metric ton of facts considered essential. As for myself, I am not jealous of those that have them, parts are expen$ive and they are heavy for offroading compared to a Baja bug - wearing their suspension "bits" of course!
I don't know it all, just enough to be dangerous!

Don't get it? Where does the normal good old "plenty of them" 1974 Beetle fits in?
Its not Super, neither has it got a split or oval window, and I wish it was a SP...where should I vote?

I put mine under SP. That's the only body shape that matched my 71.
