In my mind, there would need to be posters in shops that are visited often. These posters will need to go up in a matter of hours, as in tomorrow morning.
It would be great if some people would be willing to drive around with the posters in the windows of their cars.

Announcements at schools, churches and other community centers would also help to draw a crowd.

Should be able to get some kind of announcement in the local newspapers.
I have had some joy before with the District Mail, Eikestad News should be willing to publish it too.
Just give them each a call, or give me all the details and I'll do a write-up that they can publish as is (journalists love it when others do their work for them  )

OK, sounds like we have enough cars to make something happen....I do ask that if I go to the personal expense of advertising that people do stick to their commitment here.

So, I'm going to look into advertising for 9th May and I will get the market organiser to help and give blessing. The venue is the church by Alexander street in Stellenbosch and the market starts around 8am to 2pm. I will get and post the address when I go past on Friday.

Can I ask everyone to spread the word as well......I plan to print a few posters and put on the R44 in Stellenbosch a few days before to let passing people also know.....is that OK in SA....I really don't know.

Anyone with ideas, please bring them out and let me know as this is a first for me and I really hope the weathers good and people turn up otherwise I will learn a big lesson (again). Thanks all!

Howzit Frank, still awake i see.
Do you want some stalletjies there at all, if you do I can try and get some, have some contacts from my side still from the Worcester Wiele Fees that the Beach Buggy Club SA used to use. Or I can do printing for you too, like certificates or the like. Also, depending on how formal you want to get, I can organise to print a certificate for each vehicle, like the norm at car shows. I can make paper banners too, do you want food stalletjies, can arrange from my side too. You must just sit down and think about it and say what you would need. Love to help with this kind of thing.

Ok, so you are not South African then, a stalletjie is a stall, table to sell goods to the public like at a craft market. I will help, but you are now the 'boss man' of this show and need to send me an email of what you would like printed of course, and then take it from there. But we better hurry up, not much time left. And I do not want anything in return, will do it because i have offered to do it........that simple. For ACVW :hangloose: :hangloose:

My email address is or you can call me on 0736244269.

Ok, just to clarify then:

This will be on Saturday 9 May 2009 in Alexander street in Stellenbosch, right?

What would be the times?
When do we need to arrive and how will the parking be organized?
