What are you doing to your car these days?
Hi guys,
How's everyone doing? I am on forced leave next week so I will be getting time for some work and TLC to by Beetle. Got a few things I want to sort out, have to manufacture some alu plate for intercooler etc. . . .
What are you guys doing? The "long" weekend?

Need to pull the Fasty out the garage where it has been sitting for the past year, put the new rear lid on, clean it out and line up the fenders properly and a few other small things that need to be done so that I can take it to Dirk's place...

Apart from working (the joys of retail), i've reconnected the choke, found where the oils coming out and given it a wash. Tomorrow i'm going to put some more oil in, and get something to park on so the oil stops causing me grief via my mother in law...
Also on the list is a bit of touching up for a stone chip and hoping my new springs arrive.

Re: What are you doing to your car these days?
Neeeext week, that's now the one after this one, I'll getting stuck into the new front suspension on Gill's bus, new discs and fixing the oil leak on the RGBs... Maybe I'll get around to putting the new exhaust on the Notch and the two new slave cylinders at the back. And I've got to get the Ghia a new sump and it needs another tune. (getting there)

Re: What are you doing to your car these days?
I have got plenty to do.
In order of importance...
1. replace the rear shocks on my dads old Toyota.
2. remove windscreen and bonnet from my buggy,
3. check all faulty wiring and install new fuse box.
4. Install new windscreen wiper motor and arms.
5. Re-install water works on the buggy (it is nissan powered, sorry)
6. If this gets done, I can load my trailor with scrap body parts and take to the scrap yard with my repaired buggy.

Continue stripping Christn. The enigine's comming out tomorrow. The roof lining has to come out as well.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, I have to get everything sorted, as I'm hoping to have her picked up for panel beating and spray painting on Monday.

Re: What are you doing to your car these days?
Buggy has a perpetual list that seems to add as you do things. Starting with a tune up , then replace the head lights (The old reflectors are shot) and and and.
BUT 1st have to repair the leak in the bath that a torn overflow pipe caused. (How this happened in a bricked in bath I have no idea)
