Behind goods trains you see cylindrical carts being pulled. Some are V’ed, in the middle, to the ground and others to the sky.

Why?

Liquids fill and empty from the top while powders and thick slurries fill from the top and drain from the bottom(liquid is easy to pump out),....it also has to do with the clients storage facilities, subterainian storage tanks or tanks on the surface.

The best fuel for an aircooled VW, is a cocktail, consisting out of the following:

20 parts of LRP with 12 parts of Unleaded

Add one part of diesel, for valve seat lubrication (substitute with 2 parts of pure sunflower oil if diesel not available)

Add one and a half part of illuminination parraffin or lamp oil (aeronautical parrafin, or 'jet fuel' not suitable though)

Add 3 moth balls, for a slight increase in octane

.....and stir well (don't shake in mixer)

I've been gooing in 1 part disel for the last 2 years. Baby is running smooth.
Would I pass COR with moth ball smelling fumes? How many grammes should each ball weigh?

Won't the moth ball have a problem getting through the idle jet? Or will it go through the power jet when I accelerate? Should I grind the mothball to powder, if so, what grade?

I don't anticipate any problems with the mothball passing through the mechanical fuel pump because I have an electric fuel pump and the body diameter is bigger...

I woz gonna hijack HR's thread, but since I'm such a nice oke...

That heater pipe that he's on about, on his inlet manifold... Is that just a pipe? Is there nothing inside it? How does it flow since it goes from one exhaust to the other, how does the flow go?? To-and-fro??!? How does it actually heat the manifold?

I still think it's just there for holding the inlet manifold upright and to stop your carb hitting the cooling shroud everytime you accelerate!!...

You're right Ron,it has 2 functions. One is to stabelise the manifold and hold it in place, and the other is that the pipe conducts the heat and so warming up the manifold. It was designed more for colder places where it usualy snows.
