Ok a while back i spoke to someone on the forum about a plate that gets cut that drop's the height on the rear of a bug,bus whatever it may be....I showed a drawing of what it lookes like cause i couldnt find the pics.....

Not second guessing these spring plates ( :shock: eek) as I am not an engineer, but what I would say, is be careful if it is not the same TYPE of metal than the original metal, or you will bend it!

That's definitely a lot of drop right there! On a Beetle, that would represent around 4 inches, but I see no benefit in doing it that way except that you can use a standard shock in lowering extremes. This kind of lowering can be achieved by torsion bar adjustment. I don't see the value in doing it this way??

What prevents the wheel from going into the fender?
