Re: 1962 splitty
Just for a bit of balance here ... I think it looks stupid.
Also, to make a bus that low outside of photochop requires "tubbing", which is not exactly a reversible mod.
I really don't get the attraction of lowered buses. Why would anyone want to detract so much from the bus's utility just to satisfy a dubious urge to look "cool". If you must modify your bus's ride height, RAISING it would be more appropriate for African conditions.
This is just my opinion and is not a criticism of anyone; please don't take it personally.
This is a response to goblin's photochop pic of his bus "in the weeds". If anyone wants to debate my point of view, please start a new thread in the appropriate forum; I'm sure goblin doesn't want his project thread to become a battleground.

Re: 1962 splitty
thanks for your opinion fig. ive learnt a great amount of things from you, but this is my personal opinion and i like the look. my heart is still with oldskul vw's and wateva mods i do will still be changable to its original form, so yes i would go with the lowered look because I LIKE IT.

Re: 1962 splitty
front suspension is in and looking great. i repaired the one side of the roof that was badly rusted. but as i was doing that i just discovered that there is more fibre glass on the roof so i started ripping it off just to find some more rust. i got 2 options:
1- take the bus off the road completely (not knowing for how long)
2- work the bus piece by piece and keep it on the road.
(thinking Face)
Ps. can someone please help me post my pics the files are too large
