VDO Gauges

Post by myellow »

Hi All

Just joined. Guys need some advice and ideas. I am doing up my '74 beetle and currently working on the dashboard. I have got myself 5 gauges speedo, Tacho, Volt, Feul and PSI. Now the thing is I have no indicator lights (arrows originally with the stock speedo). Any idea how to go abot this? I mean is there anyway I can wire up a couple of lights with the indicator switch and place them on the dash - maybe?

Totally lost.

Ok,cool.I understand.

Why not fit a green globe on the dash without it looking ugly.Or on top of the steering column.

Sounds like a plan - but whats a green globe?

I was thinking more along the lines of LED lights. Got a sexy costom dashboard cant have anything 'funky'.

If you can wait a week, I'm back next week sometime. I have nice LEDs with a green lens and holder that I was going to use. I should have a few extra if you want two of them. I just have to dig them out of storage.

This is what they look like.

I had a T3 DC in 2002 and the gauges I've had since 1993 and never put them into my bug. I wanted to use them in the DC but never got round to install them. Last year I was bored one day and started playing around in the Syncro. At least I know it'll work if I do have problems with the T3 gauges. :hangloose:
