Removed the leaking brake slave cylinder and fitted new seals. Stripped the carb and cleaned all the jets and passages. I think I may have found my idling and acceleration problems.
Float bowl. Nice tomato garden I had going there.

Speedpump chamber

Will refit everything tomorrow and hopefully I'll be mobile again.

Digging around through some junk found a brand new old fuel computer somebody never used
Its got a flowmeter in the fuel line and a magnet sensor on the speedo
gives a readout in l/100km and also total fuel used on a trip
installed it today, works pretty good :D

its a Mobelec Fuel "Maximiser", looks like it made in the 80's
anyone seen one of these?

Spent 2 evenings fiiting removing stripping (many times) a set of twin carbs to sort out a splutter issue. Changed dizzy, jets, chokes and several hours of head scratching, only to find a new stock pump not pushing enough juice, and this was at 11:30 last night, had to fit an elec. pump just to check. BTW these babies were completely rebuilt, set of twin Solexe's had them running on my stand (ran beautifully), but after fitting and driving they ran like crap. Will be at it again today chaging the damn pump.

Replaced brake slave cylinder and bled brakes on the split. Also refitted carb and adjusted it. Now the bus is mobile once again and running and stopping beautifully. :hangloose:

Relax Blitzie, Bugger and I have not even taken the engines to Impi yet. You will know all about it when I have decided which route I'm going with the split. Expect a project thread in the not too distant future.

I installed my new oil piping and fitted my silencer.
Set my valve clearances and got ready to start the bug again. Only to have my fuel pump stop working....
