Wow, wow, wow. One of the nicest modified bugs out there.
I like the fact that it is all so tastefully understated.
Once you finish with all the finicky final minor details, this bug will be as good as any show bug on the european BUG circuit.
Well done to you!
May i ask what this little paint - body and pan - excersize is blasting your pocket for???
And would these guys know of anyone in KZN that can do work like that?? Im so freaken scared i pay good money and someone stuffs my project up 0 Im doing a 74 German Custom build in the new year..

you are correct in saying that vw had arctic white, but if i may add, the white with the hint of blue is called ice white and thats not vw. i debated this topic when i resprayed my golf cti.

The purest white, most virginal white that you can find
Just one problem with it... it's BMW.
i now hav a bm e36, dont ask why, and it also has artic white as the color spec in the engine bay. cant explain why two motor companies use two panted names

When my 1981 Golf L had to be resprayed after accident damage, I got the colour code from VW (Capitol Motors Pretoria, right next to the Kerk Straat bridge over the Apies Rivier), Arctic White it was called, and when the paint people mixed the paint, they added a squirt of dark blue to the white base paint (much to my surprize at the time), and when the spray painter chucked it on the car, it was the right colour.
Let me just say it again, photos don't do this ride justice has to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated. Took it for a drive, thanks Eugene, awsome, what can I say the grunt from the engine is music to any petrol head.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......
Hi guys, well done on the car 66. You did a great job. Now I need some advice: I'm going to start my own project soon. I think,.... no wait.... i do like that impi. Where can i get hold of one?
Thanx.
you will need to come down to the kingdom of the zulu, and fight the master chief, and drink a pot of zulu beer at the same time, in order to get an audience with IMPI!!!
OR you could just pm IMPI on the forum, your call.

SOrry to jump back to this, but I am starting to think something is up.
Look at the images of the Oval in the background. Some of you guys seem to know the history of that car.
Is it the same as this one?
