Hey Shane they do look brilliant, who did the chroming bud, and were they chromed over the normal steel rostyle wheels...

Would love to do a set of my sprint stars to that finish. Would it be possible for my steel OG sprint stars to turn out like that?

Please let me know?

there is a guy PTA side that sprays a chrome look paint... much cheaper than chroming especially if you are going for a mixed look. Wheels should actually be split before chroming apparently, if you are doing it properly.

Muds

I was given an estimate of what it would cost to do it didnt ask Qeustions let me Email someone and see what they say will ask him to give me the run down of what happens how it happens.

A while back I came up with a idea on how to do it i know it involved tape that the sandblasters use to tape things off that mus'nt get blasted and having it powdercoated.

in otherwords.

Chrome the rim
tape off
sandblast
clean
tape once more
powdercoat

I just didnt know how the chrome would look after been baked?

did some reaseach and acording to qite a few sites if you chrome the rim mask it off and give it a light blast it will remove the chrome, then either paint or powdercoat.

I would recomend taking a stock beetle rim getting it chromed mask it off have it sand blasted and then see what the result is before doing a rare rim

One down 4 to go, yes 4, if its worth doing, then the spare needs to look the part as well.

Hi all,

Will also have a set of Rostyles available soon from my beetle, front is a 14inch wheel that is widened to take a 185 sized tyre and the back ones are 15inch widened to take a 195 sized tyre. I am busy sorting out the steelies I got from Bugz so they should be available in a week or so time, that's if anyone is interested?

Cheers
