Hi shane just one thing that is troubling me?you say you just want play around with this idea not really apply it?so my thing is this probably isnt gonna be cheap and its taking up some time...money and time you could apply to the bug to get it going???but i get your thinking its just something you have to test and prove/disprove...what you gonna study oneday engineering?good luck shane!

Dubster I understand what you saying but I already have everything for the stuff I have started like the beam so it is not puting me behind on what needs to get done on the pan,as while I start saving now it gives me something to do.
Um I dunno yuet what i want to go into as a career but will most probably do something in the engineering feild.

Re: The re-Birth of Toy 1 (o\_!_/o)
just remember that an engineering degree is a ton of maths. The sad thing is most engineers are useless, they can crunch a few numbers and think they smart but when it comes to design or practical thinking then they far out of their depth. if you can keep up the practical side and do the maths then you could make 1 awsome engineer. I see so many useless engineers everyday that its actually scary... most of my class was useless...

It depends on the person, 2 of my pals are studying engineering and the one is a very booksmart more theoretical kind of guy who got 90% average for matric and the other is the most practical minded guy you will ever meet. The book smart one is the one struggling now.

Re: The re-Birth of Toy 1 (o\_!_/o)
So have'nt got much done latley as I have had my focus on my exams.
I am at last on holiday
So now will spend some time getting stuff done.
So now i can get back to things.
Welding the beam with shocks that will be going on to the car together, have decided to cut the shock tower supports off another beam I have and using them, just because my budget on the beam isnt that big.
Then will be getting to the shockless beam as well.
Just a run down on the shocked beam.
Beam: 4 inch beam
Shock towers: 6 or 8mm thick plate
Build of the beam: Will be fitted with uerathane full bushings and a light shock with "weld on" adjusters.
So things that will be happennings in the upcomming weeks
Will have the tubes cut to lenght.
Cut the supports off a old beam.
Go to someone with the correct tools and welding equip and have the supports welded onto the tubes and holes for "weld on" adjusters drilled and cut.
More will follow with pics as I go along

Re: The re-Birth of Toy 1 (o\_!_/o)
So since I cant do anything major until we have moved (again), I have been keeping myself busy with parts that are at the house.
So started stripping the fuel tank ov that ugly yellow paint
this is what it looked like about a 1/4 way thru stripping it.
(You only realise how well Nitro Morse actually works once you run out
