Vw trike
Hey everyone. Heres my trike i'm busy building. I bought the frame from Deon slabbert in p.e who is a registered frame builder. He builds 6 of these frames at a time only when he has orders for 6. He's latest project is a porche kitcar using vw engine and transmission. Check out his website http://www.sportstrike.co.za . Ok back to my trike. I was given a motor. I dont know vw codes sorry. A 1600 tp with the word brazil on the side of the crankcase. The cylinder heads were both cracked so i used 2 1600 sp heads. The oilcooler also sits offcentre to the back which i had to change with the sp's cooler and blower cos it wouldn't fit in the frame. Gearbox is a 4 spd standard box. My rear brakelever operates a uno master cylinder and booster with a cable. I was also told to put combi slave cylinders in with a bigger diam. My clutch is cable operated with the clutch lever mounted on the gearlever

Re: Vw trike
Welcome Diff and I love the rat look trike
Seriously though, I've been thinking of turning my BMW R1150R into a trike for a while as the kids loved riding on the Father-in-laws one.

Re: Vw trike
Sorry not VW-related but trike-related: Here's a pic of my Suzuki GS850 trike after the first build many years ago

Here it is half-way through the rebuild, gonna get a 1000cc engine now

A Trike is on my "wishlist to build" .......erm............ list! But not like the usual configuration. I got some ideas......
