That engine lid at the back was to get to your tents. You could get to the motor but it was a far way in. The motor was accessed from under the rear seat.

This is another AC my Dad Owned.
Me @ 21 and My girlfriend at the time did the garden route in it. The Trip between George and Outshoorn was so much more fun in a AutoVilla.

The bad thing about a Autovilla is after you have set up camp, you are stuck. You need a bicycle to got get the munchies.

Congratulations Nigel on the promotion and sorry for my first post on your thread leading to a long standing debate.

Does anyone have a Jurgen's? I would love to see one in the real, I never have been able to yet.

Where did I read about Jurgens, and that it's going again, was it Pine? Is Jurgens building those off road trailers, something like that. I must have a google and see what I can come up with... Something about Ol'Man Jurgens wrapping up the company due to family politics and now his son(s) have started again.... Anyway, lemme check... Don't go away...

Yup, Jurgens is going, they have a 2009 series of caravans, but not the Autovilla, that's now made by WJ Autovilla, I would post a pic, but bmps aren't allowed and I don't know how to change it to something which is, but just google WJ Autovilla... It looks nice, no storage rack for Tom's bicycle though...

Try saving it as a .jpg by opening the file with 'Paint' (under Windows accessories) and then 'save as' change 'file type' to .jpg or .gif

It was!! It was technically challenging, I had to go to paint, and save as, and all that kind of stuff.

(Thanks Pine...)

And it isn't even air cooled so no one can bitch that I am revealing state secrets to the exporters...

I was actually referring to the means of your post, not the methods. So let's give this thread a 180 degree turn in the right direction

I know, I know... I was refering to the technical assistance I got from you. The last bit was just a ABF swish of the spoon.
