Hell, it was a LONG Saturday night, with no ACVWSA! Sorry to all the guys who sms'ed and called me, and who I did not have an answer for.
Thanks anyway Eben, this e-mail only came through early this morning (at around 01:30), but it seems like everything is A-OK now
Hi all,
I have been unfortunate enough to have a server failure on the node that our site is hosted on. The engineers are preparing a new server but please be advised of intermittent service until it is active.
Regards

Amazing how some of us still communicated through other sources like Facebook and e-mail.
Suddenly I spoke to a lot of guys on the phone as well.

I think I'll take a weekly backup of all the email addresses so that I can send out a mail from a different account in case it happens again. I didn't have any email either until this morning at 7am. The poor engineer has been working on it from 10am yesterday until this morning. Did anything get lost that you guys can see?

Some pics I had attached to the 'so how did you go to your matric ball' appear to have gone missing
Should I re-upload them?

We should just be a bit patient. Eben did mention that a new hosting server is on it's way.
And I'm not struggling to access the site, so it's not THAT bad...
Patience is key...

If its just avatars and pictures missing then I would just re upload them. As long as we haven't lost posts.
A backup server would need LOADS of data to replicate.
I'm just changing the dns setup so that you can see a message etc.
