I cant really remember now. I seem to think though that you put the flexi bit in first and then the 2 rings... I seem to think the rings sit on a little groove on the flexi bit

As far as I remember the flexi ring goes first and then the 2 thin rings. These rings hold the flexi ring in place.

This is one for the motoring enthusiasts - where do Bugs fit into the hierarchy? I know there are antique cars and ancient cars and classic cars... I think Goggo would rather like to enter into these car shows as well - he's pretty enough!

Re: The place to ask your "Stupid Questions" thread!!
Me personally, think that Beetles are classless.Everyone from the poor to the rich drive them and collect them or have owned one at some point in their live.
It's a case of preference, what do you want to collect or restore. Most of us show our cars at motor shows all over the country. And nowadays it's just as expensive to restore and maintain any classic VW than most other makes. My car is worth to me just as much as the guy with the Model-T or Rolls, and chances are that we enjoy our cars more.

Yes Chris and some of us on the forum have been "caused" by a little accident in a Beetle..........
How's that for having A/C in your genes?

How reliable are aircooled engines on long trips like 2000 kms etc?
