Message from Mince

Post by MINCE »

I am writing this to say that I apologise for my outburst and for the comments I said that were out of place and thoughtless and wrong.
But I still maintain that the way I was treated was unnecessary and inappropriate.

For instance, there are right and wrong ways to tell someone to not do something, and I was told off in the latter fashion. Emoticons or no, gestures like what were aimed at me are not right and only my closest friends can do that to me and get away with it. I consider none of you as my close friends, instead I do consider you all as fellow ACVW nuts who share the same passion as I do, and in return I respect you all for doing what you do.

I shouldn't have made silly comments prior to the 'online incident' as well as my comments post the 'online-incident'.

To those I offended as a result, I didn't mean it. I was hot headed at the time.
And not all ACVW's are only worth 20K, although I wish they were. Would make my aspirations a lot easier to achieve.

To Fig and Sambaowner, I am willing to let this pass and to be forgotten (from my part at least) but I also want to hear from you an apology to me for the way I was spoken to. If you don't want to, that is cool. But I am not gonna let a forum like this go, for instance, what if I do get my SECOND VW one day and I need help, huh?
Yes, I did have one before, but I had to sell it because i couldn't maintain it finically. But that is another story.

So, water under the bridge. (at least from my part because i am sure the rest of you don't really give a sh..)

I think allot gets said when someone feels offended and rightly so, but then not enouge gets said about all the good that comes out of the forum.Theres is always advice and opinions on here whether you like it or not, i have found lotsa new friends and i consider them that not just people who share the same passion, parts leads on vechicles and socials all stem from here.I just recieved stuff the Henry send me from the states, this guy used his own money to pay for the postage and took time out of his life to gather info for me on the upcoming trip to the U.S, this to me is so much more than just sharing a hobby. So thanks to all ya all for all the help opions advice good and bad and THANK YOU Henry for all the effort.....As far as the forum go's I wont change a thing !!!
My biggest fear is that my wife sells my cars for what i told her they cost !!

In my view it takes a real person to do what Mince has done....We can all be hot headed at times and make rash decisions. It takes a bigger person to come back, admit and then move on!

Mince, I don't think I have ever treated you with disrespect but if I have "I apolgise unreservable!". I think the only person on this forum that I did once upset was Eugene and we sorted that out! (I hope)!

To all the people here, what I say sometimes is in fun and gest, and even somethings to gain a reaction. I never mean offend but if I do let me know so I can learn.

One thing I take with me from South Africa and VWAC is that the MG owners club (that I was a member when I have the MGC) has nothing on this forum, the members, the socials, the support, the commorardry.......NOTHING!

I'm proud to love VW's as the people who also own are LEGENDS!

Sorry I'm feeling very emotional at the moment......Today is the last day in my current job!
