The pan was sand blasted
two new halves welded in converted to IRS
and then etch primed
sealed with flexible seam sealer at all joints
the bottom was coated in stone chip
and finally painted with 2k gloss black

Definitely agree with the hand sanding ... and your results are proven incredible. Mine were not as defined, and nowhere near as good, but better than average, coz of the amount of prep work that was done. Awesome green too though.
Now where was that bolt from again ...?
And do I need to weld that together?

Quite a lot has happened since my last post.
The chassis has been fully built up and only needs side shafts and cv's to be sorted. the headlining has been made but not fitted yet
some of the engine parts have been sourced:
schadec dry sump oil pump thanks Rui
94mm barrels and pistons
Dry sump tank Thanks Nic
76.4 stroke crank (oettinger WBX)
NOS Puma kit cam 297 degrees P4 10mm lift thanks Bugger
the exhaust has been bought but still needs mods
Original puma carbs 40mm Solex (Forefathers of Kadrons)
Lightened flywheel.
I still need a Puma dizzy (Probably similar to the old 010 bosch dizzies but made by Resolit)
This engine will come close to original Puma Kit engines which had 78.4 stroke and 92mm barrels and as far as I have been able to find out there was two cars so equipped in South Africa. The cam is fairly (maybe far to) wild but since it is an original it will be fitted as the car will definitely not be a daily driver. I still need to build the heads which will feature 40mm intakes and 35.5 exhausts

I spent some time getting the last work done inside the car in order to fit the wiper motor. as this involved lots of sanding and a bit of glassing I have been putting it off for ages but it was finally done.

Today marks a momentous step in the rebirth of my Puma

IT ROLLED ON ITS OWN WHEELS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TEN YEARS!

I have been doing all the little things which would allow me to fit the chassis finally and today was the day.

Hi all a bit has happened to the puma since my last post. I managed to get one of the wheels stolen (dont really want to talk about that) Luckilly i had some really bashed ones which Pine has taken to be fixed.
I am busy with upholstery at the moment and have just completed the headlining but before the headlining I had to install the channels which holds everything in place.
Image
these alu strips are rivited in place and when i restored the body all the holes were filled with fibre fill and needed to be re drilled and about 80 rivits used.
Image
Image
I also spent some time under the bonnet and now there is brake fluid in the system at last.
Image
Ive also been busy fitting up the doors and this is really a bitch.
Image
So far ive used at least two liters of glue YEAH
