Engine in... engine out, gearbox mount bolts hitting flywheel, engine out
grind bolts
engine in, kaefer cup brace hitting exhausts... engine out - remove keafer cup brace. Swear a few hundred times.
engine in
car falls off jacks - quickly push car back up - no damage.
rear brakes on
Wheels on
tighten wheel bolts, car falls again this time, need to jack car up
torque castle nuts
push car out of garage and back in to line it up again
theorise about how to remount kaefer cup brace.

Always fun when that happens 10 seconds after you crawled out from under it. Guess those to whom it happened earlier aren't in a position to post about it........

The 58 officially left the garage after 7-8 months on non action, ate up 2 sets of points in about 20 km's and went like crap, fitted a WBX dizzy, ----- :D BIG SMILE :D ----- it goes like stink, so much for the original look with the points dizzy (threw that onto the scrap heap). Motor sounds so cool idling :10:
New decals & bonnet badge fitted, left door scrappers and glass fitted and working after much swearing, now for the door pannel & seat instalation.
Adjusted brakes all round, found the reserve tap leaking  I think !!!
Some trim fitted.
Got to check out oil sender its leaking :flogging:

It looks as if it's going to make it to fig's camp out this year. :drunks:
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......
