Never had this happen with the Omega's that I bring in. The lip that fits between the rim and the tyre always breaks away from the insert side wall. I have lived to live with this, although its damn irritating....

I always run white walls on a rounded side wall like on a 165 SR 15 tyre as when using them on Low profiles (with a straight and decreased area size in the side wall), the insert NEVER sits flush on the tyre side wall, and ALWAYS has a old R1 coin sized bulge. These inserts then over heat on longer trips very quickly, and longer on shorter trips, and will eventually tear itself off the LOW profile tyre.... so low profiles are definitely a no no...

Yip, hard to find. Taxi white walls are avail all over but not skinny beetle style. Not shooting the ATLAs inserts down, Nizaam, just making comment from 4 or 5 sets of ATLAS inserts I have had experience with over the last 3 years. Like I said, my clubmates fitted them to their low profile tyres and they were damaged as result of not seating correctly on the minimised side wall. I have being doing the whitewall thing a little longer and speak only of experience.... Rui has backed me up on this as well, as barry asked for the low down on the inserts. The ATLAS is not as good as the Omega, and even Veltas, but like I said, its something that I HAVE learnt to deal with, and will still do so in future...Nizaam wrote:I haven't had any complaints about Atlas products from ayone that I sold them to.
