When was the last time that someone priced a complete speedo refurb and recalibration?
If it's too low, you're too old

i refurbish my own blitz. . . Early models that is. With a few hours to spare anyone can do it. Question is; do you really need to re calibrate? Ran 4 early speedos with my gps and all of them were spot on.

Pierre at Speedometer services re-calibrate a Beetle speedo and change the facia to indicate a max of 200, 220 or whatever you want it to be. After he worked on it, it is accurate at all speeds, and still looks factory original.

It is however a personal thing - you pay the bucks because you want it for yourself, you are not gonna make a fortune trying to sell it to someone else... :?

4 years ago I paid R320 to redo the speedo on my 58.
