'Hi Guys, my name is Tom. I run an international VW website, viewed by millions every day. I am willing to give you some exposure on it in return for some work on my trusty steed. At no charge, of course.'

Pine, This is the first time I am sending a PM and hope it works properly.

I never asked anyone for any favour and the reason I gave them such good works is........

I just happen to be the owner of this shop. :hangloose: :hangloose:

Joking, they damn charged me R200 for this job. So the whole Tie End job cost me R400.00

Nothing. But I went with Skymac to Springer to go and fetch the d/c. Also met Coop and the Marigold project - very interesting!

Pulled the Ghia's motor, to find the remains of a nut or bolt in between the head and piston

Lady's starter solenoid is showing it's age, so I have to bang it now and again, must admit the procedures in "Keeping your Volkswagen alive" has once again proved invaluable.

I also got fed up with trying to make a mold for Christn's dash, so I finally just fiber-glassed over the whole damn thing.
With any amount of luck it will come off clean, then the interior an start getting sorted.

Here we go, my new Dash!
DSC02955.JPG
I know, i wanted the Rev counter to stay where is was in the original SP but the other two gauges didn't want to fit then...

Also put in a LED for my brights light. I love my dremel, was so easy to cut that panel to fit the gauges...

And for the people that like pictures....

After getting the parts needed for the Ghia, I started rebuilding the motor only to be interupted twice, first to go and tow in Sompie-WP's beetle and then my sons beetle when the breaks jammed.

Now I will finish the Ghia tommorrow.

After much pain in the rear, Christn's dash is coming along again.

Took the fiber-glass off the OG dash today. A little more work and the two peaces I've made, bottom and top, will be joined.
I'm still undecided as to wither I'm going to cover it or spray paint it.
