I need an engine for my beetle but, the recon engines are 6000 so should i rather just buy a whole second hand beetle ,its like 10000

overhaul ur engine,with the right mechanic,shouldnt cost u more than 3 grand incl parts

Sergio you say"with the right mechanic"Do you Know any?i`ve been making some calls and its seems to be a constant price all round 5500 to 6000.If you can give me the names of some places that can do it for 3000 that will be great

Check the cut on the case...

1mm max :!: Preferably less.

For reference, few of the 'name' builders are decent.

EG: Vee Motors, Beetle Buddies, Remtech, etc. are NOT a good idea.

You should really look into those R3000 rebuilds I helped an older gentleman rebuild his engine and we spent R4500 on machining and parts I donated the labour. I olso get a lot of my parts at dealer prices so You pay R3000 and dont cry if it doesnt last. Used main bearings, oil pumps worn cylinders used pushrod tubes used cam bearings cracked heads etc etc. I can go on But that is me If you can live with constant frustration and aggrevation go cheap.

did my homework with part prices & it all came 2 just below 2500 for parts & i have a good mechanic friend who knows beetle engines like the back of his hands. the rest is labour. karel's motor clinic centurion 0126532657- Anton

Now factor in labour
And yes You can leave some parts out! And they will be the next ewakest link Go Figure

MAYBE I SHOULD RAIZE IMPI'S PRICE FURTHER THAN THE R5200 I CURRENTLY CHARGE You also get the tin painted.
