My March 58 Bug
Towed her back on friday 9 July 2010 complete March 58 with matching numbers vin, engine and gearbox. Rustfree with all parts intact ( will needs some finer bits). I am the Third owner. Will keep you posted on progress.

Had a close inspection this weekend and could noy find any rust issues other than surface rust. Although this is going to be a long process.

That does not seem to be the original motor for the vehicle if its a '58.... the genny pedestal and case are not one unit.... meaning the motor is either a late 1200cc or 1300cc or later engine....

more info is always useful, digital cameras are cheap and upload facilities plenty. what's your plan with the '58? how much work is needed?

post september 57 aka 58 did come out with bigger windows up to pre september 64. Very little doubt its not a 58. Looks like a good project none the less j bug. Keep the pics coming.
