Re: What did you do on your car today?
Put Petrus on the stretcher and towed him to Vee Motors, so they can sort out the following issues under warranty:
Burnt valve on no 4
Oil leaks - third attempt (He piddles like a Jack Russel puppy)
Loss of oil pressure as engine warms up - caused by second oil leak attention attempt.
I know that I will eventually rebuild the engine myself, but a warranty is a warranty...... and sofar they have been very decent about the issues.
PS:
Sofar I haven't tossed my toys out the cot. Maybe it's too cold to get angry.

Thought since I am in GP I should maximise and visited VS Jetpark and got Ol' Betty a set of Bougis and tapet cover gaskets.
Can't wait to install the Bougis next month when I get home.
Thanx Martin for the service.

Re: What did you do on your car today?
Finally finished off the filling in of the (unused) left-hand sliding door handle. It's gone from this:

Which warped a lot of the door when it was welded, even though we just did a bit at a time to try and avoid overheating it. I have been laying on lots of thin layers of filler every day after work and then block-sanding them back again. During this laborious process:

And it is now looking like this:

Also made a start on the mess that is the front end, pics to follow. Whew, time for some

Re: What did you do on your car today?
With the Help of Ron (all they way in PNG) I pulled one of my busses reduction boxes apart. Are they supposed to be full of grease? Why then have they got Oil fillers and drainers?????????
Removed the barn doors and serviced the hinges. In the process loosing one of the plates which the countershunk bolts bolt onto. The plate fell down the vertical channel. Had to cut a hole in the channel and make up a new plate. !@#$$%^%%$##@@
