Re: 61 Westy
Just a quick update. Took the engine out on Thursday night. Burst oil cooler. Replaced it with secondhand one I had Friday morning. Shower packed and took the road to Pta at 12 oclock. About 6 Km from home and 1 km from the Hilton garage the westi decide to die on me. Thought about getting the Isuzu and drive to Pta.... No fuel. Put the Westi on reserve and refuel. Took a long drive to Pta. Showed the bus to the previous owner at Estcourt. Stop here at about 8pm. Will post some pics later. Took the two busses to CITP today was a nice day out and the kids enjoyed it. Saw a pic of my westi and blue bus and my ex ghia the maroon one under events CITP. Had a good few days.

Saw the bus today in the metal. Looks fantastic. Looks even better than the pictures.

Re: 61 Westy
Thanks for all the comments on the bus. It was a long road to get it this far, all the ups and downs. The big lesson I learned is take it a day at a time, dont give up hope on a project and try to do every evening or weekend just something on the project,in other words dont let too much dust cover the project.
Gary carpets is from a local shop here. It is just normal hard wearing floor carpets.
Think this will be one of the last posts here. Will see.

Going nowhere slowly

Stop at Estcourt Engine garage

Van Reenen.

High tec navigation system

Third stop at Villiers, cleaning windows.Brights on the bus is worse than dims on the Isuzu.

Absolutely lovely.....I have to ask, where did you buy the IPOD dock ashtray in the end....I want one for Mo and I'm seriously considering rebuilding her insides all over again after the wedding she's booked for end September.

Re: 61 Westy
Got the indicator switch fixed today. Now the brake lights and indicators are working properly. Tomorrow will fix the hooter, Dirk(FIM) already pull the wire through to the button, bought a new hooter, need a nut and bolt to fit, as the old one is no more, have no spares here in Pta.
