The 19th Schwimmwagen off the initial first 30 prototypes built by Porsche in 1941 was recently found, it has been in the same hands since 1946... I am lost for words

Some of the original prototype pics - note that the first 30 Schwimmers were longer than the later ones, based on Kubelwagen mechanics with a wheelbase of 2400mm. They were ordered from Porsche by the Heerespioniere (Pioneer or Special Wilderness Corps)
