HO HO HO, what would Santa have on his list?
If I am to believe another members story, it would be a split hi top panel !

But this is my list:
1. Not a true VW but close enough - Porsche 356A, B or C, I'll take any, although a nicely restored early B with those BIG aluminium drum brakes, a site to behold imho

then faaaarrr behind...

2. Fleetline (liking that bus more and more). Drives so easy, unique, has character, what can I say.
3. Since I saw a Samba Wreck yesterday in randburg.23 window, ragtop, Samba Bus (GASP, a samba behind a fleetline  , proudly SA my bru  ) - be honest, take money out of the equation, would your list still look the same?
4. Any original, non molested, bug, bus, KG, any ACVW really with an interesting history and all the old original paperwork, will always be something special to me - sucker for nostalgia and history.
5. Split or Oval beetle, I have too many choices so I had to put these together.
6. 60 or earlier big window beetle. Old school looks but with syncromesh and vs the split, hydraulic brakes. If I am not mistaken, then a late 57 Oval should be the ultimate combo ?
7. Type 3 Notch and by extension Squarey, Fasty, and T34 Razor (yes, they are family) and in that order.
8. Split S/C, D/C or any other Split bus, also in that order.
9. SP Beetle
10. Type 181

My selection of cars is not finished yet, but the list is..... pity, as the KG is always a stylish choice, lowlight bay, speedster, manxster, and I could continue. Of course, cars I have not yet seen in S.A., that would make my top 10, Schwimm, Kubel,Rometch, Fridolin and THE HEB, Heb would go straight to no 1 for me...

So many cars, so little time...

seems like everyone is leaning towards a certain style of car - you get the kombi guys, you get the bug guys, you get the T3 guys...

so here i go (with what's available in SA)

1. SAMBA
2. Splitwindow Westy
3. Oval Convertible Bug
4. Low Light Ghia Convertible
5. Low Light Westy (probably the most practical of the lot)
6. Ragtop Oval (or split Beetle, if any of them are left in SA)
7. Splitwindow Double Cab

but: any ACVW that is very original, low mileage, with a rich and/or well documented history and/or period accessories would jump right into my top 3
