Tis must be the highjack of the year so far :hangloose:

And let me tell you this, I am already grey(and ask Chris, I am not THAT old), but the problem is that my oldest daughter is only turning 7 in July. The youngest 15months!

LOL. die rottang! Now thats something from school I don't miss. Mind you , I did not visit the "hoof se kantoor" that often, but on the odd occastion, damn that rottang stung. Should be brought back today I say. Spare the rod and spoil the child or something like that ? By the sounds of it, it didn't keep RON on the straight and narrow anyway
Ander oom se dogters, say no more.

I too remember the 20c video game machine, but that was way back when in primary school. We suffered the worst of the inflation, as in high school, it was up to R2 a game! The outrun simulator , wow, that was thee coolest for so many years.

First pc, commodore 128, loading from tape drive! Took ages, and you had to time it just right, then a XT with a 20mb harddrive, that is not a typo, 20MB, less than your cellphone...

Also remember the 286 Ron, built my own 386 from spare parts bought 2nd hand when the 286 got too slow, and installed said VGA card (my 286 only had a CGA), 4mb ram in that 386 , WOW, that was a lot. Grand Prix anyone, played the ITALY track till I could drive it in my sleep!

My wasted youth, computer games, quake 1 and 2, enjoying some of the first international music acts in SA, this was just after the 94 elections (just too young to vote in that one.!) Depeche Mode, Midnight Oil, Annie Lennox, Sting, Indecent Obsession  , Dr Alban, U2! and then a few other one hit wonder acts. SA was the destination to visit!

This thread is so far of course now. Love it... How do you know a man was a "losgat" in his young days, look at the size of the shotgun he buys when he has daughters!
